This settee belongs to a local family whose Nixa roots go back to the 1860's. Found under the original cushion was 'make do' padding of old quilt pieces. The pieces appeared to be of varying ages, almost like each time a family had the settee reupholstered, a piece from that family was added.
Who knows.....but truly a treasured find.
A lady's rocking chair from childhood. Her dad built it for her .. she now passes it on to her grandson.

A family has BEGUN their memories with this rocker/glider, custom built by an Amish community in Ohio. Many generations will this quality built furniture span. I can hear it talking 100 years from now, telling the family 'tales' of preceding generations.
